New Glan Conwy Freight Terminal under construction in 1979 alongside the Conwy Valley line. This yard was to replace an older one located next to Llandudno Junction station nowadays occupied by an Iceland and Asda convenient store. The new yard is located on one of the former brickworks site ; the site having closed in the 1940's. The other brickworks at Llandudno Junction was located nearer to the railway carriage shed. The brickworks here stopped trading in the late 1950's and the site was thereafter filled with water, the two remaining chimneys went in the 1970's. Nowadays its occupied by a Trading Estate.

I work for Network Rail as a Relief Signaller on the North Wales Coast and have always been interested in railway signalling from a very early age. The photos on my website will include railway signalling in North Wales mainly along the coast between Chester and Holyhead. So please enjoy.
